About Me
hi, My name is Zephyr. I am a 24 year old who probably plays this game too much after taking a break from it for 4 years. I'm happily taken by two partners, and live with the both of them. I go by any pronouns. I love animals, psychology, reading/writing, listening to all kinds of music, any kind of horror media. I'm open to chat about most anything, and likely enjoy a lot more than what I have listed here.I've been writing for about 11 years, though new to roleplaying on FFXIV as a whole. I enjoy a lot of darker, mature themes, as well as lighter themes. ERP is acceptable, so long as my boundaries are respected. Even simple dialogue is fun to me. I enjoy interacting with both original and canon characters. Or, if you just want to chat without roleplaying, I enjoy doing that too.My character strays somewhat from canon, and I ship him with a canon character, as well as my partner's OC. I do not care if that bothers you.

˖· Rule 004 ⸺ . No Lalafells when Engaging in NSFWNon-negotiable. I understand that your character may very well be of age and mature, but it makes me personally uncomfortable. Lore
Born and raised in the First, Xerox Djt-Nong hailed from a tribe of Viera that originated in the Rak'tika Greatwood. The forest there is home to the Night's Blessed—a faction of people who revere the dark—and the remnants of the ancient ruins of Ronka.Born to a full-blooded Viera mother and a half-Lupine father, Xerox was a bit peculiar compared to others. Bigger and stronger than average compared to his peers, Xerox was often considered to be strange; Xerox sported a unique tail, claws, and sharp teeth. His mother always reassured him he was perfect how he was without telling him the reason for his unique features. Nennesol always instilled a sense of curiosity, wonder, and ambition within Xerox—her warmth and kind-hearted nature cultivated a softness in him. Though it was against tradition, she always spoke of a desire to traverse beyond the Greatwood. Xerox loved hearing about her dreams, wanting to indulge her in it when he was older.Xerox was taken early to undergo a lethal training regiment to earn the position of Woodward. This was tradition for males within the tribe. His stature and natural strength made him a prime candidate despite being a few years beneath the cutoff. He witnessed various friends and siblings perish during the seasons-long initiation, often a passive bystander to their demise. An elder woodward, Svilam, took it upon himself to corner the passive Xerox and force him to make a choice—fight or die. He would not survive in the Greatwood unless he learned to fight properly. Svilam cornered Xerox with an axe while the younger Viis was unarmed. The fight was one-sided, with Xerox making many attempts to flee. At one point, Svilam caught Xerox's eye with the tip of his axe, cutting horizontally from his forehead to his cheek. Seeing as Xerox had not yet warmed up to fighting, Svilam thought it best to simply put him out of his misery—only the strong survived. As Xerox was going to die, he heard a voice. A gentle, comforting voice that encouraged him to get up and fight. To feel. Filled with overwhelming anger and determination at the cruelty shown to him, Xerox gained the upper hand; managing to overpower Svilam with his unnatural strength, Xerox beat the man to death with his bare hands. He didn't stop until his hands were raw, until he felt a change within him.Never before had he taken a life. Never before had he felt such rage and fear.Little did he know of the patricide he'd just committed. If only he knew who Svilam was. Those claws were all too similar...The rest of Xerox's initiation felt like nothing in comparison.Once he had completed his training, Xerox sought solitude in the wilderness, dawning the title of "Moon"—heavenly ice. His duty as a Wood-warder was to ensure that the domain of his tribe remained untouched by outsiders. And so, he devoted years of his life defending his tribe from any and all threats. Countless battles and skirmishes were had throughout Xerox's time as a protector of the forest.Though many skills were picked up as well; the Wood-warders knew how to survive on their own in the wilderness, without the need for companionship—a valuable life skill that Xerox had honed. He was asocial and very serious, commonly intimidating younger Viera. He kept mostly to himself, alone and isolated as most wards were. His people feared him due to his efficiency in killing any hostile force that came into the Greatwood, displaying ruthlessness and brutality. He loved a good challenge, finding combat to be the most thrilling aspect of his duties.During the Flood of Light over one hundred years ago, Xerox rose to the challenge—he fought against many Sin Eaters that invaded the lands of his tribe. As the strongest in his village, Xerox fought tirelessly, day and night to fend them off. It was different from the usual invaders he easily killed, the new challenge admittedly kindling a fire in him. He came close to death, and yet.. Every nerve was lit up, the flood of adrenaline and endorphins made him feel alive. Perhaps the risk is what he liked—the idea of facing someone strong enough to make him fear for his life. Why, he wasn't sure. But it was like seeing clearly for the first time in a long time.Dsspite his best efforts, he watched many of his tribe members die. Nennesol was one of many who turned into a Sin Eater, and Xerox was the one that found her. Just after her turning, he stumbled upon her, and hesitated—For the first time ever, Xerox hesitated. He managed to get close enough to her, disbelief and waves of grief causing him to make a mistake. Nennesol said she loved him just before sinking teeth into his shoulder, tearing skin and infecting him with Light. But, he did not turn. Perhaps due to that disembodied voice that spoke to him. No, Cerox survived through the catastrophic event, but it haunted him for centuries, his aether permanently carrying that bit of Light within—stabilized beyond logical reason. He never forgave himself for failing to save even one of his people, let alone his own mother. After his tribe perished and the Flood was stopped, life began to grow dull; The thrill of battle was no longer there, his mother long gone, that little flame of fulfillment from her love and his duties dimmed within him. There was nothing but emptiness. It was not the solitary lifestyle that bothered him; His duties all in themselves frazzled him not. But a voice within him screamed for something more, that there was more that he could do with his life; he was more than just mere breeding stock—more than a protector, a failure, or a forest-dweller. There had to be more to life, more beyond the Greatwood. He had more potential than that. He believed his people feared and hated him anyway. Always the odd one out, the one that slaughtered without hesitation. Xerox felt like an outcast, truly alone after the death of Nennesol by his own two hands. He was told that he had a higher calling. He felt like a monster. He needed to redeem himself.Xerox one day took it upon himself to abandon his duties and seek to discover more of the outside world once he met a woman named Yrsa. She had wandered into the Greatwood where Xerox instantly confronted her—attack first, ask questions later. However, Yrsa seemed determined to get through to him. Speak to him. The Warrior of Light, she called herself. Something told him to listen to what she had to say despite years of built up instinct telling him to kill her.Yrsa told him of her adventures, and of a voice that had spoken to her which caught his attention. It sounded familiar...He felt that this meeting was a sign, to pursue what was necessary for him. This meant that he was no longer welcome back at his tribe, forever banished from the Greatwood. It was an easy decision. He never turned back on his decision, beginning his journey into the unknown.
PERSONALITY Xerox is—by nature—a standoffish, secretive, and reclusive Viera. With a mean-looking, stoic face and a large frame, he can seem intimidating—with a natural mistrust for people, it can be difficult to get him to warm up to you. It is easiest for him to engage in flirtatious banter, though wanting beyond that is a lost cause. It's easiest to label him as avoidant, and it shows in the way he just doesn't quite care to reach out to others, or find himself in a vulnerable position in interactions. On the surface, he is quiet, broody, and a little flirtatious to make others squirm. A sense of dry humor, Xerox does not truly care for the feelings of strangers. However, once he is comfortable, Xerox is kind, curious, and expressive. He enjoys speaking to people about a variety of things, though takes pleasure in learning of others rather than offering anything of himself. Rarely will he forfeit anything intimate of himself, dodging it with the use of flirtatious gestures or inquisitive questions for others. He is kind and clever enough to get by, but still lacks enough vulnerability to truly reveal anything important about himself to the world. APPEARANCE Next to the average Viera, Xerox appears to be of a larger and somewhat foreign build; his ears are bigger and longer than most, his fur thick and plentiful—his tail is especially fluffy. He has clawed hands and digitigrade feet, with fur seemingly lining up to his thighs. Though he appears like a Viera, his beastly traits hail from his Lupin heritage, namely the claws, and sharp teeth in his maw.Fluffy white hair cascades around a deadpan face and falls to his mid-back; white eyes contrast against scarred, dark skin that tells the story of a seasoned body that has endured centuries of combat.Due to the effects of light, Xerox's lips are discolored, as are his eyes—they were originally red before his body suffered the effects of Light absorption. The white wings along his cheeks are soft to the touch, another consequence of the Light.

It is a constant battle to maintain it, and so he constantly carries around a Porxie affectionately named "Cheesecake."Both a bane and a boon, Xerox has heightened hearing and smell due to Lupin-Viera physiology. With this physiology, he has digitigrade feet, and furry padded feet.Originally, Xerox had a wolf tail, but it was chopped off at birth for fear of prejudice. It looks like a fluffy bunny tail now, and he has the capability to "wag" it.Xerox possesses sharp canines, and digitigrade feet with claws. He is able to walk quietly due to the padding and fur on said feet.

˖· Hook 001 ⸺ . Rak'tika's Banished Woodward. You hear rumors of a once Banished Woodward of the Rak'tika; A terrifying Viis who towered above others in ways never seen, who was known for his ruthlessness in combat. This one fits the description—huge, menacing and entirely unapproachable.Perhaps he's more up to conversation than one might think. ˖· Hook 002 ⸺ . The Flood of Light.During the Flood on The First, the remaining tribes spoke of a member who fought tirelessly against Sin Eaters that invaded the Greatwood. Though many fell around him and could not be saved, he stood his ground and survived what should have been his demise. Surely someone with an impressive feat such as this would hold the same scars as the Viera you've come across.
˖· Hook 003 ⸺ . Unique Physiology.Viera typically don't have claws. Nor do they typically have digitigrade feet or sharp canines. That tail is looking a bit longer than average for a bunny, too. And Viera, generally speaking, aren't so large. Why does this one look slightly different from your average Viis?
˖· Hook 004 ⸺ . Scars.Every scar has a story, and this particular Viera seems like he might have a lot of both. From small cuts, to large bouts of clearly torn skin, there is likely a unique story for each one that has gone untold. Would you like to be the first to hear them?

| Yrsa Meaux | Wife | A bubbly and bratty Miqo'te that Xerox met when she entered the Greatwood that was under his watch. Though she was stupidly bold, Xerox found her bravery to be intriguing. She told him of many tales, as well as that similar voice that granted the both of them a higher calling. Convinced that the two were meant for something greater, this Miqo'te was the last push Xerox needed to leave the comfort of his post. He now travels the realms with Yrsa by his side as his wife, though is still adjusting to life outside of the Greatwood. |
| Zenos Viator Galvus | Partner, non-canon content | The prince of Garlemald whose attention was caught by Xerox due to his strength and resilience. They first met in Rhalgr's Reach during the events of an imperial assault. Zenos and Xerox went toe to toe, neither one able to beat the other which quickly garnered the prince's attention. The two fought many times after, with Xerox eventually defeating Zenos while in the form of Shinryu. After reawakening and reclaiming his body, Zenos opted to closely follow the Warrior of Light on his adventures, observing him. This rabbit was the only person able to defeat him—make him feel alive. He wanted to learn more. He cared not for how the Scions or Xerox felt about it, ever lingering about. As time went on, Zenos discovered that his obsession had truly been love underneath the surface. A desire for connection with someone he considered to be a reflection of himself—this realization came to Xerox as well. The two were mirrors to one another, able to understand the other despite their minute differences. This shared sense of connection brought them close, both of them recognizing their affections for one another. After the events of Endwalker, Zenos resurrected once more, and decided to simply join the Warrior of Light on his journey—Xerox was his purpose now. Naught else mattered but the one who gave him a reason to live. |
| Svilam | Father | An impressive Woodward of the Rak'tika, Svilam was anything but a good father. His principles valued strength and the mighty surviving above all else, something he opted to force Xerox to learn the hard way—prove yourself or die. He cared not for how he made his son suffer before his untimely demise at the hands of the capable warrior he groomed. |
| Nennesol | Mother | Xerox's mother, whom he loved dearly. She adored Xerox from birth despite everything, and did her best to teach him confidence and self love above else—to not care what anyone thought of him despite his glaring differences to his peers. Nennesol was a gentle soul with a bleeding heart. She passed during the Flood of Light, and Xerox has missed her ever since. He smiles to uphold the memory of her kindness. |
